    WEIRD THING.... DISASTER or GOOD?

Definitely looks like diatoms. The first thing looks like a feather duster. Hard to tell though. How's the weather there? I grew up in Makati, myself :)

    Having a semi major issue

Don't beat yourself up. ... happens to the best of us. But definitely +1 lesely... never addb things you can't test. I would test your tank and new water for phosphates. Ifb you ate doing water changes worth water that already had phosohates, you are simply adding them back in. Hope you can...

Ok that was TOO funny :ROFLMAO: That makes sense, actually.

    How does this happen ?

When you moved them, how did you acclimate them to the new tank? Unless they shared the same water system as the old tank, you would need to acclimate them to the new one, I would assume.

Adding New Fish To Tank Upgrade And Other Questions

+1 ted You might not even see a cycle because of the live rock. Just watch for die off. I would stop using nitrate reducers. There is no need for it if you are doing regular water changes. Like Ted said...it might be screwing with your readings. The once a week water changes will suffice...

What type of Wrasse is it?

I had a yellow eyed kole tang. He was an asshole LOL Had to give him back to the LFS after a year or so. It was a bitch catching him. But finally caught him with a home made trap. Punk. I totally cheered when I caught him.

    wontonflip's 125g build

It comes with an automatic locking mechanism so it can't get loose. But I also plan to put a knot on the rope, just in case. This sucker ain't doing a thing unless I let it. It can hold up to 100 lbs. It used to have hooks for the bikes, but we just unscrewed them and drilled holes into the...

Hubby hung them up! We got a pulley system (one that is made to lift bikes up to the ceiling). Cost around $20, so not bad! We haven't organized the wires yet. Waiting on one 3 more cables before connecting the lights to the controller, then we will tie up all the wires neatly. Then...

    cycling with "life rock" ???

There is no need to cycle with fish. You get the same results with fish food, and you don't have to worry about fishing those little devils out later. Damsels are a**holes. +1 everyone else on fish food. I cycled my 125g with a cube of frozen fish food. Did fine without fish, same (and...

    Water change containers?

Sorry, just saw this post.....I previously used a large 32g trash can, too. It wasn't brute, but I've had it for a few years now and hasn't had problems (although the way it bows out is scary LOL). Since getting back into hobby mode, I did buy a 55g Brute trash can that is obviously stronger...

Once I get my feet wet (pun intended) with easy softies, then I will most likely graduate to harder coral. I have to figure out now what best color spectrum I want (and that corals will like). I figured out the Storm controller settings. It's simple enough. I"m setting it based on long/lat...

My clown fish is swimming/floating at the top of the tank...

+1 everyone...my clown has decided he is in love with my overflow (even gets sucked in once in a blue moon)...yet he stays there...unless it's feeding time. He wiggles vertically half the time. I've had him since day 1. If you have enough water movement, then he should be ok. We would need...

    75 Gallon Mixed Reef

Cool. That frag tree is interesting. How many plugs can it hold? I like how you call your LED's "Chinese LEDs" LOL So many LED makers out there now. It's gotten easier to find more affordable ones. What controller are you using for it? I'm trying to decide how to pick a good color...
