I've noticed that as well. I had some Gold Mauls growing on my sand bed. Picked up a Thrive frag rack (The tree one) and haven't noticed any growth since then lol

QT tank doesn't have to cost a lot. Just a old tank you have laying around with a HOB Filter/Air Stone will do the trick just fine. Cut up some pvc and toss it in there for hidey holes.
