+1 I usually dry it out for a few days after rinsing. You can speed up the rinsing if you use prime. I would also get a chlorine test kit to make sure. Last thing you want to find out is that the last person had the rock in a sump with grape caulerpa and now its rampant in your dt or you just...

Jordan From the 2 ATO systems you posted - I am not a fan of the Autoaqua because there appears to be no 2nd failsafe switch. The Tunze has a mechanical float switch as a failsafe. I think the 2nd failsafe is a good peace of mind investment. I use the JBJ for my nano - its a lower cost option...

I have a small cyano problem - just isolated on a few LPS corals - it just keeps coming back. Nothing on the substrate. This all started when I was running biopellets. Instant ocean (I switch been regular and the reef stuff), feed 2x a day - 1/2 sea weed clip and pellets at night for fish...

really like the black substrate and the cute touches. I'm doing a 60g build too. You may want to use more rock to take advantage of the tank height. You can use acrylic rods to add structural integrity (but this means you have to take the rock out for drilling).
