    Octopus Tank

At least zoas can't figure out how to unlock aquarium lids and come after you. Octopi can.

Brand New to reefing and have quite a few questions

Never heard of Liquid Emitting Diodes before. Did I miss the latest tech memo?

Tank is dying a slow death! Need some serious help!

You can try changing the color profile of the Radions. Maybe somehow your lights hit the sweet spot for this algae?

    Aiptasia

There is no such thing as "one single aiptasia" :) If you see one in your tank, then there are already several others lurking in the tank. You just might not see them yet.

Painting tank parts. Need advice on what paint to use.

You can look into Krylon Fusion spray paint.

Brand New to reefing and have quite a few questions

Smaller reef tanks are typically more challenging because their smaller water volume makes them prone to rapid parameter fluctuations. If you can take measures to ensure that the tank parameters remain as stable as possible, then 20 gallons would be a reasonable size. Yes you will need...

    Aiptasia

If you can trick the aiptasia into accepting the superglue into its mouth and not spit it out or retract before it cures, it still would not be enough. The superglue itself will not kill aiptasia. You can try many different home remedies. But in the end, getting the proper tool for the job will...

    Starting over

I's sorry you had to tear down your tank. But it is a normal part of reefing. Sometimes you just want to make significant changes that would involve tearing down the tank and starting over. The important thing is that when you do your next build, you remember all the lessons you have learned...

    Glass Vs. Acrylic

This may be true for really thick panels. For typical home aquariums, I do not think that the extra 10% clarity would be even discernible.

    Glass Vs. Acrylic

Acrylic panels have much higher threshold before they crack. Under typical home aquarium conditions it would be unlikely to crack acrylic. And if it does crack, you can use the solvent to reseal the crack. The sealing process for acrylic tanks also fuse the individual panels into a single...

    Saving a Poor Tank

As long as you perform the corrections slowly, it will give any inhabitants in there sufficient time to adjust. Also, do make sure that the tank is not someone's 5-year thesis on neglected tank conditions. :)

    Purigen Reactor

I was wondering the same thing. I have been looking into adding a Purigen compartment into my setup and I wanted to see if you were giving Purigen a bad review and why. LOL.

    Auto Top-Off System

The water could be siphoning from your ATO reservoir into the sump when the reservoir is near full. What is the height difference between the ATO container and the exit line into the sump?

    Auto Top-Off System

The top off systems that were noted above are all good equipment. I do worry about your 5 gallon reservoir though. My tank is 100 gallons and it empties my 5 gallon container in about two days. 72gallons would not be that far off unless you have very minimal evaporation going on. If you are...

    Saving a Poor Tank

It would be ironic if the corals end up dying because of all the new attention. I have seen monster corals thrive in neglected conditions only to die due to an influx of TLC.

    72g bow

That sucks. Some say hermits do not attack clams, they merely steal food from them. But the buggers are so rough they end up killing the clams, and now they HAVE to eat the dying clam because it is their duty. :frustrat:
