Oh yes. I was planning on cutting a strip from the mesh and clipping it to the tank side. Not using the entire 10"x16" mesh. Free food is good!

I DIYed an algae scrubber for my tank and removed my skimmer altogether.

Could I use a strip of mesh from my algae scrubber for feeding herbivorous fish as well?

Right there with ya, SFB. I have a 20ga and the equipment to set up my frag tank but had to spend my weekend time fixing the AC on the house. It is gloriously cool in here now though.

I use a Nutrafin master kit. Plus a godawfully complicated Seachem mag and Strontium.

A good middle ground here is use an Algae scrubber. It takes out the inorganic nutrients (the ones algae consume) and leaves the organic ones (the ones corals consume). I built one for our tank and took out my skimmer. My params are so good I worry that my test kit is bad! lol

We have a patch that we couldn't get rid of in the middle of our tank. Now our GSP is growing OVER the Xenia. It looks freaky!

I got mine Saturday along with a few Amazon orders. Christmas in May! Set them up in about 5 minutes and now my tank is rocking along. Thanks, Eric!!!! :thumbsup: Between getting my Photon 48 and these powerheads I am looking forward to how well my tank does in the coming months.
