    Microbe Lift Products

What product are you looking at specifically? When set up correctly, a vast majority of tanks don't need things like buffers or conditioners. A lot of those liquid supplements have marginal benefits at best and can actually be very detrimental if not used correctly

Is this to much ammonia for my shrimp

I would see if a local fish store can verify those results. API kits are notorious for testing a false .25 ppm. That being said, until you know for sure I would not add anything living to the tank. Do you currently have other things in the tank? If so are they showing any signs of ammonia...

    Clown fishes are adorable

You need an incredibly large (hundreds of gallons) to make more than a pair of clowns work long term. You are best off limiting yourself to a single species of clown per tank

    Dosing magnesium? Calcium?

And another +1 to Erin - if you aren't testing for it, you shouldn't be dosing for it

what to do or how to do it ?

It will come in time, and eventually you'll be sick of scraping it off the glass. I would not dose anything that you aren't testing for - including purple up

    Wave Maker

While I wouldn't go as far as to say they are neccesary for a reef - I can tell you that after getting some random flow in my tank I noticed that the whole system was doing better as a whole. I saw more coral extension / growth, and the fish definitely seemed to be more active. I also agree...

    Do I need a 72" light?

The difference between the 60 and the 72 inch aquatrader fixtures is $10, that's a single cup of Starbucks or a movie ticket. Why wouldn't you just get the 72 inch fixture? Either way, I don't really know what kind of Par you'd get from that fixture, it doesn't really say what kind of optics...

    Lobo Brain Questions

Its only been a couple of days, and there appears to be some color coming back in little specs. I can't get much of a feeding response out of it though, so its just going to be a wait and see game i guess. I'll continue to try getting it to feed every few days. Thanks for all the help

    Thinking of Getting a Clam

In most aquaria, clams of any size do not need to be fed regularly, or even at all: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/7/inverts

    Lobo Brain Questions

Yes, been under the same lighting the whole time. It used to be an inch or two deeper in the tank but it kept falling off the rock work so I moved it to its current position. I'll try putting it on the sand. I hope I can save it, it was a really nice looking coral
