    Coincidence?

what's odd is it is not harming corals or inverts...they are the most sensitive animals in our tanks I was thinking metal but your corals would be toast if that was the case

    Marinne's Reef

I have known people that QT'd fish for over a month and as soon as they moved them in the DT...bam ich

    Coincidence?

I feel you...no I haven't tried a mirror, the angel seems to just kind of ignore the Tang for now so we will see I do love tangs and now have a tank big enough to keep them but I am thinking tangs just belong in the ocean...I think they get way to territorial and would prefer their own tank and...

    Coincidence?

sounds like it's the tang...I had a Kole tang and hippo in my 180, the hippo was literally biting my clowns for no reason. The clowns started looking bad so I got rid of the hippo and they are doing better, however I added a coral beauty yesterday and now the Kole tang is being incredibly...

    72g bow

feel free to frag some of that in a month or so...need to fill up my 180 lol

    Marinne's Reef

I know people highly recommend QT tanks but IMO it causes more harm...a small tank with some odd looking PVC, no sand or rock I would be less likely to be stressed if I was thrown in a cozy house with comforts that I am used to and not a train car with cardboard boxes...but that's just me

    Marinne's Reef

I just don't want to maintain another tank lol...topping it off everyday is more than I want to do lol

    Marinne's Reef

I have a 20G I can use...it's just such a huge system that I would hate to ruin it with one bad fish although I have never quarantined any fish and had only one tank crash due to fish disease...it was my fault for adding a petco fish

    Marinne's Reef

I will see what I can do with the 65G then...the tangs are still doing good today, no spots on them at all

    Marinne's Reef

the only tank I have is a 65G that is drilled, I would have to order some meds to keep in stock as well

    Marinne's Reef

the spots have gone away...she only had maybe 4 on her the Kole tang has about 3-4 spots on his fins but that's it and they both eat a lot

    Marinne's Reef

It eats a lot...loves everything I put in the tank

    Marinne's Reef

I did get a hippo and Kole tang...hippo is now showing some spots, still eating like a pig I am hoping they pull through, I would start a QT tank but it's also a lot of money for something that may not work

    Marinne's Reef

I thought about one lol...I don't know yet though, don't want to crowd the tank I want a foxface for sure as well

    Marinne's Reef

I had over 100 gallons of water and 70lbs of LR that I added from my old 65G reef so the 180 is already cycled...I would in theory like to add the tangs all at once to avoid aggression...I want a Kole and hippo for sure, don't know what other one I want yet

    Marinne's Reef

I guess I don't mind the wave makers but not convinced on Jebao's DC pumps...I have 2 MP10's on the back wall, a Koralia 1200 on the right side and a Tunze 6045 on the left plus my return which I will be upgrading to the Sicce 5.0

    Marinne's Reef

I don't trust the reliability of them...my return pump might work though, I am pushing probably 500gph through it which is enough I have my only fish in the sump as well, two black and white snowflakes that I might keep in there...they do have a 30inch long fuge lol
