    Marinne's 75G Reef

I usually wait until you see some algae start to grow, then you know they are something to eat. I would get more snails than that, and make sure you get a variety. Each will target a different type of algae and surface.

    new 54 gal corner

+1 westcott But very few people actually need chillers, you can just run a desk fan blowing across the water and the evaporative cooling will cool the tank.

    Bad LR Rock?!

You can go that route if you want, but for most people its easier to not pull the rock out of the water. The zappers are pretty cool, but they seem to be hit or miss if they actually get them, but that could be a user skill sort of thing.

    Bad LR Rock?!

The other critter is a bristle worm, good member of your CUC, just dont touch them. Im not quite sure what the diatoms are, they could be spirobid worms. Not a big deal. I would skip the nudibranch, they dont usually survive the acclimation process because they are so sensitive and if they...

    new and need advice

Hello and Welcome! I would avoid the crushed coral all together, it only will cause you major issues especially if you want to keep a reef tank. I would get a few high powered koralia powerheads for the tank, or if you have the cash, some vortects. Also are those hang on pumps...

    New Reefer Question

Regrading the algae that is growing, just upping the flow is often enough to make it go away. But do keep up on your water changes and pull it out when you do. The pH you have is fine, and I wouldnt try and mess with it. Stability is key. Also if you have fish in your tank and have cycled...
