    fuge question

It's not necessary to clean the walls of it (unless you want to for fun or something idk) But if you see detritus and such it would be best to siphon that out. But to be honest, I haven't cleaned my fuge in around 6 months....nor done a water change for that long either... :D

    sump/fuge help

I have 2 10 gallon tanks connected as my fuge using U-tubes. Its very risky, but I have not encountered problems from it yet (it has been setup like this for over 2 years) Just make sure that there are no air bubbles trapped inside of the tubes.

    Chaeto and Fern Caulerpa

Yeah I definitely have pods crawling all over in my fuge, but I just can't say for certain that you will get visible ones or a lot of any kind for that matter. So I don't want to out right say that you will 100% get pods.

    Chaeto and Fern Caulerpa

At the moment I'm not selling chaeto by itself, because I don't have a box for that at the moment. I'm only selling as a package- chaeto, fern caulerpa, caulerpa prolifera, and free grape caulerpa. PM me if interested!

what to do or how to do it ?

Personally, I wouldn't use the Purple Up stuff. It would make the coralline grow really quickly. Even though mine grows at a moderate rate, it's actually really annoying to clean off the glass and such.

    Coral help!

Yeah...one time I didn't mix properly so the salt ended up "burning" some of my corals. I usually mix for at least 12-24 hours.

Why Do Inverts Die Right Away

One thing- are you sure that they're actually dead? Many time when I ordered snails, they don't come out for a couple of days. A couple of times my cerith appeared dead and didn't start moving until a week later. Maybe you should try and wait a couple more days before pronouncing them dead...

That's just algae. It's normal. You can just scrape it off. By the way, welcome to the site!

    Refugium Set Up

I don'r recommend a substrate because it makes it so much harder to clean, unless you're looking to do a display fuge like d2mini has. There's so many plants you can use. Mangroves, caulerpa, chaeto, ulva, etc. But in my opinion the best for filtration that I use are grape caulerpa, fern...

    First Fish

How big will this tank be? And if it were me I would probably add that clowns first. Very hardy fish, not too aggressive. And then after that maybe the goby then the cardinals.

Blonde & lipstick only eat seaweed ?

You can try other types of food. I have never seen a fish refuse Rod's food.

Can I add dead coral to tank?

Yeah you can. It just won't look so nice once it's covered in algae.

    My Clownfish getting along

It could take up to even a week for them to get used to their new home, so no worries! Also in general, frozen foods would be better for their diet instead of flakes or pellets.
