    New 30g saltwater tank

It all depends on how good the rock is that the person is selling. I just went to my LFS so I could pick each of the rocks that I wanted.

    New 30g saltwater tank

I don't recommend a canister. It just keeps the junk connected to your tank and lets it fester in there, which raises nitrate levels. It will cause headaches in the long run. I just recommend live rock and a good protein skimmer. The best kind of live rock would be a very porous kind. That...

    Favorite Zoas?

I'm not really looking for those really expensive kinds. Just kinds that have a relatively bright color. I honestly don't get the hype with all those $100+ zoas. If you look at them from more than 2 feet away you can't see any of those details that make them so expensive.

HELP my duster has accidentally got half feathers knocked off

Oh and also (I don't know if this is the case) trigger fish have a sort of "trigger" on their backs and they will wedge themselves in a hole/rock and lock themselves in with their "trigger". So I don't know if this might have been the case or if your fish was really stuck in their. By the...

    cleaning crew

For snails in my opinion the best ones are: nassarius, nerite, dwarf ceriths, and ceriths Some people also like turbo snails, but I dont have any experience with those. I think just a couple of hermit crabs will be fine. Too many and it will get pretty bothersome. Shrimp aren't really part of...

    Shipping Corals

Anyone have a preferred way? I know zoas and shrooms can be shipped using 2-day instead of overnight. Any special method?

    Finally figured out my problem

I love my watchman, so active. A plus is that it cleans sand. Just be careful with a firefish since they are jumpers.

    Finally figured out my problem

Don't worry its not too hard keeping a fish. I'm sure you'll do fine since you're already keeping some corals. Anyways, in a 14 gallon you can only have 1 fish, and at the extreme max, possibly two small fish.

    Fuzzy white pod

Yes pineapple sponge. They are a sign of extra nutrients in the tank. I had hundreds and they got really annoying, but eventually died out when I brought my nitrates under control.
