    Plunging Into Reefing

Hahahaha. Sfb pulled that off by the skin of his teeth. There was at least 50 entries and they all battled it out. ..........

    Light Height Advice

Possibly lower the power heads to 2/3rd tank height. Face them angled towards surface. Your rock work is very low in the tank, it may not work as well as the idea in my head.

    Light Height Advice

You have plenty of flow. If your phosphates are in check I would look into red slime stain remover. It works flawlessly. No w/c and keep everything on. The protein skimmer goes nuts but I took the cup off and left it run. No issues with corals, fish, or inverts. I have a huge hydno that did...

    Light Height Advice

I am honestly not worried about the lights. What is your flow like? How many and what kind. Cyanobacteria is not an algae it is a bacteria. How old is this tank? From the picture it looks like a fairly recent set up. There are options out there that work and I'll try to help.

    Bad Kessil?

The light is only 1 output. It shouldn't be any different than the next except they do have different values of kelvin. Did you check the power supply? Try switching them around and see if you have the same results. I had to send one of my 360's in because it would over heat. All covered by...

    Test Kits

I can honestly tell you that I don't know the last time I tested nitrates or phoshates. I really don't care what they read, in fact they are just pointless numbers that are argued in this hobby. You should see the variance in the hobby, just check out some videos from macna regarding phoshates...

    10g Office Nano Upgrade

I have heard mexican hermits eat the cyano. In my tank, they don't bother with it. It seems to come in spikes. Try some more flow and look for the phosphate source.

    LED Suggestion (advice)

Yes, the nitrates. I did a w/c everyday with Rodi and changed filters out too, I could never get below 20ppm. It's the lid, the all in 1 ' s can't breathe. The co2 builds up in the system and drips back down from the lid into the tank lowering the ph. For the nitrates, I can't explain. I had...

    LED Suggestion (advice)

I had a Biocube 14. It was a pain in the ass with the lid on it. I had their protein skimmer that was a pain too. I pulled out some skimmate, but was always needing to adjust the bubble line. With the lid off and the kessil, there will be no need for the cooler. I have yet to run one on my...

    LED Suggestion (advice)

I would do the 360we, it's the newest. I run the 360w's. Check out my tank if you want. You could also look at the new 160we. I'm not sure on the light coverage on the 160 though. With the 360, you will only need 1. It covers 24x24x24 inch area.

    LED Suggestion (advice)

Any light is good. All has pros and cons to them. I would suggest keeping lids off of any saltwater system. The co2 exchange is far better with no lid.
