What kind of algae is this?

This algae is on a spiny oyster that died but I kept the shell because so many cool things were growing on it. I will later transfer it to my 75 gallon when it is ready but think it might be bad algae. This shell has a nice orange ball sponge that is about 1 1/2 inches on the bottem so for sure would like to keep that. Should I throw out the top or just pick it off if it is bad?

I bet it would feel slmy if I touched it but has a texture like kelp which my urchin will not eat.

Okay, I know what kind of algae that is, but I can't remember the name off the top of my head. When I get home from work I'll look it up and post it for you! It's not harmful, and probably won't spread quickly. I wouldn't worry about it.

looks like a different species to me. the inconspicuous root/holdfast structure makes me think it will be invasive
