Has your tank been set up long enough to keep a mandarin? Usually around 6 months is the bare minimum. They need lots of pods since they won't eat prepared foods 99% of the time.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed your join date was august, so that's probably when you set up your tank. First thing I saw was the "Experience in reefing - Not that long" and figured it's a brand new tank.

Solar is right if your fish isnt eating mysis shrimp then you will need pods for him to eat. If you dont have pods he will more then likely perish. :frustrat:
 
I have the same exact fish! :) They are fun to watch. My tank is less than a year...but my mandarin will eat frozen mysis.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. My tank has been up for 7 months. I have pods in my tank and refigum.My mandarin eats frozen mysis shrimp. I will post more pics when I can.
 
Steve, how's the little guy doing since you put him in the tank yesterday? Hopefully he's moving around more and not hiding as much.
