Ok so on my way home from work I decided to take a different way home to stop a lfs. I walked in and saw a 24 inch current usa outer orbit sunpaq.
It has a 150 watt 14000k ushio metal halide bulb and 2 65 watt each PC bulbs for a total of 280 watts for 80 bucks so I jumped at the deal and damn it looks nice all lit and hung with the hanging kit, but my question is how high should I hang it over my tank the guy at the store said 8 to 10 inches and he also stated that I can keep any corals, so please help a newb out how high should I hang it. And I now have to take my Nova extreme back to the store for credit

seeing how my tank is a 36" I hung the light in the middle of the tank will this be ok seeing how the MH is shining more in the center
