the carpet tack are pushing it up in the back... and makes it lean.... The shims are not doing anything, as time has gone by the tank has been leaning more and more... yes i am reading the level right.
Where to start... the retrun pump died a few months ago so I have only been having the top going... I am going to be draining and redo the plumbing on the tank to fit the new return in... how do I level the tank on carpet? I had shimms and it still started leaning when I filled the tank...
Thanks for the welcome back guys, but the tank... its seen better days. A friend from out of town was here and was like WTF lol I got embarrassed and started cleaning the next day.
Well its been a year (almost to the day) from my last post, the tank has been up this whole time being neglected for a lot of it. life, it happens. However I have re inspired myself to make it look like something again. About 2-3 months ago I took the hood off and scrapped the front glass of...
All Set up I like the aquascaping I left myself with a lot more room on the sandbed. Also did you notice the lack of a shadow :) YEP I CUT THE STRAP OUT!!! I did replace it with 1/4 in clear acrylic. DO NOT DO THIS WITH WATER IN YOUR TANK!! My tank was empty / brand new when I did it. I have...
THANKS EVERYONE :)
So true, you learn so much by setting it up and realizing all of your mistakes... it was nice to up grade the current build instead of starting with a new tank / stand a lot of thought was put into where things are placed in the stand and how easily they can be worked on...
Well its that time on June 27th I finally got my tank inside my house with SW! Last Saturday I got a clean up crew, here are some pics to make the post worth it :)
So you can see I cleaned up under the stand I added a fan that I will only use on really hot summer days... I think it is my fault...
OK, here is my idea.... I want mount stainless steel carabiner clips around the inside of my stand in the corners and following the wires.... it will be to hold the wires but make it so I can still access one without cutting a zip tie?
What do you think? am I asking for trouble?
So I got a new tank! I took it to a local reefer today and talked plumbing, I am looking at doing this overflow system. After talking to the guy he suggested this would be best so I will not lose so much space on the sanded, vs a column style and I agree. He had the same set up on his tank and...
Well the tank move didn't go well at all... The contents of my tank is currently in a LG ice chest in my living room, well what is left and that is not much. I picked one of the coldest weekend we have had to move my tank.... nothing went as planned, we got keys to the new place last Tuesday...
So it was bound to happen... I am planning on moving, ALL 37 tanks... The one big problematic one is my reef of course... Since I am taking it all apart its time to redo some stuff. here is my list of ideas...
I want to RinoLine my sand and hood (inside), has anyone done this? Or is there...
