just got a nikon d3100 any tips on shooting my tank at night with to catch the blue from antinics light ie aperture settings iso im using the 18/55 lens really any and all tips would be great since this is my first dslr
You could buy a battery back up it could run a power head or return pump for a bit the less you plug in to it the longer it will last I use one for my return pump and one for lights
Got up this morning and found this white spot on my toad stool any thoughtsplease.does it need surgery lol what should i do it gets good flow water checks are good but here recently calk did get out of controlled but has since been fix via water changes
you could use it if it can overcome the head pressure but 120 gph is very low you would want 300 to 600gph but to get you up and going its better than nothing plus it could be useful in future waters changes or a topoff pump
you may even consider something bigger than a 20 for a sump 30 to 50 gal for a sump or even as your dt when the bug bites you dream of bigger tanks and all the live stock you can put in it
stick with the ball valve they are great for throttling back water flow if you can cut in a tee before the valve it should help remove any air build up. air pockets will reduce flow and create back pressure
stray current??? or maybe the anemone was on his was out and your that 1 in a 100 case where it nuked the tank but I have lost three and never hade any die off you could take a water sample to you lfs just to confirm you don't have a bad test kit very sorry to here you lost your live stock
I use a set up its just like two liter meter pumps but I do 5 gal a week. I've always been afraid of changing to much to fast and up setting the balance of the tank plus its just easier on the back to tote one bucket a week to the sump room
